I love decorating for halloween! The kids love helping too. Here is what our HAunTeD HouSE looks like :) Lindsey and Austin made the ghosts hanging from the trees. Austin loves drinking "blood" from the purple goblets :) Austin is terrified of the giant spider...he keeps saying "I'm allergic to spiders!" If you come over for dinner, beware of the "menu" we will be serving :) Enjoy!

Snickerdoodles
I love the smell of cookies baking in the oven, especially Snickerdoodles. These are favorites of ours and the kids love rolling the dough in the cinnamon-sugar. Here is the recipe I use...It is from Martha Stewart's Cookies. Enjoy!
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. coarse salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups plus 2 TBSP. sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350*F. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Put butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar in the bowl and mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Mix in eggs. Reduce speed to low; gradually mix in flour mixture.
2. Stir together cinnamon and remaining 2 TBSP. sugar in a small bowl. Shape dough into balls; roll in cinnamon sugar. Place on baking sheets.
3. Bake cookies, rotating sheets halfway through, until edges are golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool on wire racks.
