This recipe got me a second place trophy at a local chili cook-off. It is my favorite chili recipe. Enjoy :)
Cozy In My Jammies On A Cold Winter Day Chili
2 lbs Ground Beef
2 green peppers, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 package McCormick Chili seasoning mix
1 can tomato paste
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
2 cans sliced stewed tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 tablespoons chili powders
1 cup water
Sprinkle of salt
Sprinkle of garlic powder
In pan, cook chopped onion, chopped pepper and ground beef until beef is browned. Also, add half of the chili seasoning mix. Meanwhile, put all other ingredients in the crock pot. When the beef is cooked thoroughly add it to the crock pot with the other ingredients. Stir. Let it cook on low for 3 ½ to 4 hours. Serve with sour cream, cheese, or anything else you like with your chili. A yummy rustic bread would be awesome with this :)
