Summer Fun

School is back in session!

Yeah, school has started again! It started yesterday, August 11th. I'm so glad that Lindsey is still at the age when school is fun. I have never had a problem with getting her off to school. She LOVES it! She is in 2nd grade this year, which I still cannot believe. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Moore who is very nice and a lot of fun (this is what Lindsey told me). It will be another great year, I'm sure.

We took Lindsey to school the first day and Austin was sad to leave her there. He kept asking (and is still asking) "where's Hindsey" (he can't say his "L's" yet). Yes, his best play friend is gone for the day now. I must resume my position as best play friend. She will be riding the bus to and from school, which is really nice. Although Austin got upset that he couldn't ride the bus. Hope we don't have to go through that every day. Keep on truckin'!

Summer is gone :{

Wow, I can't believe how fast our summer went! It has been over a month since I last posted on here. We've just been gone and busy and now school has started again. It's crazy! :} We had a great summer. The month of June was filled with camp and swimming lessons. We stayed inside unless we went swimming. We headed to Idaho on July 2nd to see grandma and grandpa and cousins and everyone! We love it in Idaho. It's always relaxing and fun. Lindsey and Austin had so much fun playing with their cousins. Although halfway through our stay, Austin and his 2 yr old cousin Bryndi started to fight and pick on each other. I still can hear Austin saying "Mommy, Bryndi says no", "no Bryndi!", "mommy, Bryndi got me". But then a few seconds later he would want her to play with him. These two new how to push each others buttons : ) I'm sure mom liked the peace and quiet after we left!

We ended up extending our trip there until July 29th. When we got back, we had 1 day to pack again for San Diego. We really wanted to get to the beach one time this summer before school started. We had a great time. Lindsey was very brave in the water. Our friends were there for a day and they had boogie boards and Lindsey and Austin just loved riding them on the waves. When they left, Lindsey just body boarded instead. It was very relaxing and great way to end the summer. I've added a new slide show of all of our summer fun! Take care!
